HOW MANY STUDENTS ATTEND VCS?
VCS total enrollment is currently 200 students. We receive 30 plus applications for our 25 kindergarten spots each year. Therefore, it is important to pay close attention to all deadlines when completing your application.
WHAT ARE YOUR ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS?
VCS administration evaluates the "whole student" when considering applicants for admission. Academic performance and standardized test/screening scores gathered at the student's previous preschool or elementary school along with academic assessments given by VCS prior to enrollment are considered. In some cases a parent and/or student interview is conducted. VCS may also require testing or review of any IEP in place at the time of enrollment.
ARE STUDENTS PLACED ON A WAIT LIST?
Yes, if at any time a class enrollment is closed due to capacity then any additional students will be placed on the wait list for that class.
HOW CAN I VISIT VCS?

IS FINANCIAL AID AVAILABLE AT VCS?
Financial aid is needs-based and mission-driven. In exchange for financial assistance, parents are expected to provide some minimal service hours.
IS THERE A TUITION DISCOUNT FOR SIBLINGS?
Yes,VCS offers a tuition discount of 10% for two children, 15% for three children, and 20% for 4+ children.
DOES VCS FOLLOW THE PUBLIC SCHOOL CALENDAR?
Although the VCS calendar does not 100% match the public schools, the schedules are similar and students are generally off for vacations and holidays at the same or similar times.
DO YOU OFFER BEFORE OR AFTERCARE FOR STUDENTS?
Before and after school student supervision is available for a fee from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. (Hours are subject to change based on need.)
HOW OFTEN WILL MY CHILD HAVE ART, MUSIC, AND P.E.?
We encourage our students to engage in both physical activity and the arts. VisionWay students have p.e. and music twice a week. Art is taught once weekly.
HOW IS TECHNOLOGY USED AT VCS?
Students at VCS are encouraged to learn using technology and it is integrated throughout their educational experience. Currently our kindergarten and 1st grade students use I-Pads, our 2nd through 8th grade students have Chromebooks at a 1:1 ratio and they are used regularly in the classroom. Our jr. high students use their Chromebooks daily as much of their curriculum is online.
